Master Plant Dieta
In the Amazon Jungle
Enter the Path of Transformation
What is a Master Plant Dieta?
The Journey
Aug 1st
Arrival in the Jungle
We arrive at Noya Rao Sanctuary by boat, traveling down the Amazon River and into the heart of the jungle. Upon arrival, you will settle into your private tambo, allowing time to acclimate to the environment, ground your energy, and gently transition into the rhythm of the forest.
As the day unfolds, we begin to prepare physically, mentally, and energetically for the journey ahead. In the evening, we gather for a shared welcome dinner, opening the space together and setting the foundation for the sacred work to come.
Aug 2nd
Consultations + Opening Ceremony
During the day you’ll have a private 1:1 consultation with Maestro Pedro, where your intentions are clarified and your Master Plant is chosen or prescribed based on your unique needs.
In the evening, we gather for our first Opening Ceremony with Ayahuasca to set intentions, cleanse the space, and formally begin the dieta.
Aug 3rd - 9th
Master Plant & Ceremony Days
Throughout the journey, your days will gently unfold between Master Plant immersion and Ayahuasca ceremonies, each offering a unique layer of healing and insight.
Master Plant days may include lying in the sun, swimming in the pool, quiet solitude, guided shamanic journeying, meditations, inner child healing, connecting with your power animal, soul retrieval, and guided jungle walks to learn about jungle plants, and visiting Noya Rao.
Each day is intentionally guided and may vary based on the needs of the group and your individual process, allowing the work to unfold organically and in alignment with your path.
Oct 10th
Arkana Closing Ceremony
The Arkana is a sacred closing ceremony that marks a powerful moment of the completion of your dieta and the sealing of your work with the plants. In this ceremony, the Maestro helps to integrate, protect, and anchor the healing & your connection with your master plant you have received, closing & sealing your energetic field so you are able to go out in the world grounded and carry this medicine forward
Aug 11th
Break Dieta + Closing Fire Ceremony
On this day, we gently break the dieta, reintroducing foods and slowly transitioning the body and nervous system back into nourishment and grounding. In the evening, we gather for a closing fire ceremony to release, give gratitude, and honor the journey you have completed. We close with a light celebration, sharing in connection, reflection, and the integration of all that has been received.
Aug 12th
Departure + Return to Iquitos
We share a final breakfast together before departing the sanctuary by boat, traveling back along the Amazon River to Iquitos. You leave the jungle forever changed. Carrying the medicine within you, the clarity, and the remembrance of who you truly are.

Further Exploration
It is highly recommended to stay in Iquitos for 1-2 days before heading back to normal life .
Shaundra always organizes a trip down the Amazon river to visit Lupuna, one of her master trees, that is 300 years old, a visit to the wildlife animal sanctuary, as well as organizing a personalized tattoo of your master plant if you feel called and the best shamanic shopping in Iquitos before you head back to normal life.
Noya Rao Sanctuary
Nestled deep in the heart of the Amazon jungle, this sacred sanctuary offers a space for profound rest, healing, and reconnection with nature. Surrounded by lush rainforest and the living intelligence of the jungle, the land invites you into stillness, reflection, and deep presence. Here, you are held by the rhythms of the forest. Where the the songs of the birds, and the energy of the plants create a powerful environment for transformation. Having Noya Rao in your physical presence is otherworldly. Rest in your private tambo, walk the jungle paths, or simply sit in silence, supported by the raw beauty and medicine of the land.
Ceremony Space

Spacious and rustic, each private tambo is thoughtfully designed for comfort and simplicity, featuring a comfortable bed with linens, pillow, blanket, and mosquito net, as well as a table with stool, shelving unit for your clothes, private bathroom with toilet and shower, and a hammock on your porch to rest and take in the surrounding nature.
There are 7 private tambos.
Isolated Tambos
Isolated Private Tambo with Private Bath & Shower
Located deeper in the jungle, these tambos are ideal for those seeking solitude and a deeper space for reflection. Each tambo offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas for relaxing and connecting with the surrounding nature.
Inside, you’ll find a comfortable bed with linens, pillow, blanket, and mosquito net, along with a table, stool, and lamp. Outside, enjoy a private porch with a hammock, as well as a table and chair. Each tambo also includes a private bathroom with toilet and shower.
There are only 2 Isolated Tambos and they go fast as it is first come first serve. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Food
You will be deeply nourished throughout dieta with clean, organic meals prepared by our talented chef, who makes simple dieta food both delicious, tasty and satisfying. With three thoughtfully prepared meals each day, except for ceremony days, so you’ll feel supported and nourished.
We include proteins such as chicken, fish, and eggs to ensure your body remains strong and balanced during the process. We are also happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Fresh spring water and a selection of hot teas are always available throughout the day.
Electricity, Internet & Cell Service
Please be mindful that while we understand everyone has responsibilities, this experience requires you to fully step away and disconnect from work, family, and daily obligations. This is an essential part of the dieta process, allowing you to become stress-free, present, and able to go deep into your healing.
Cell phone service may be available at times for texting, but it is very spotty and unreliable. If you need to make an emergency phone call, that can be arranged.
There is no internet or consistent electricity. We do have a generator that runs for approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, during which you may charge your phone or essential electronic devices.
If you are not able to fully disconnect, we strongly encourage you to wait until you are in a place where you can truly unplug and commit to the process.
Who This Is For
Those Who:
• Have prior experience with plant medicines and feel genuinely called to enter a deeper level of work through dieta.
• Are in stable physical, emotional, and mental health, with the capacity to navigate profound inner processes.
• Are ready for deep inner work, including facing patterns, wounds, and unconscious layers with honesty and courage.
• Have the ability for self-containment — able to be in silence, go within, and honor the discipline and sacredness of the dieta container.
• Are willing to follow the structure, restrictions, and guidelines required for working with master plants.
• Feel a sincere calling to build a relationship with Ayahuasca and the master plants through devotion, patience, and humility.
• Are open to receiving teachings through direct experience, beyond expectation or control.
• Are prepared for a profound initiation - one that can reshape their path, their identity, and their relationship to life.
Who This Is Not For
Those Who :
- New to plant medicines
- Not in a healthy physical, emotional and mental state or on pharmaceuticals.
- Recreational seekers.
- Believe the medicine will fix their life for them. No plant, therapist, dieta, or retreat can do the work you are unwilling to do yourself.
- Are unwilling to question their current beliefs, patterns, or perceptions. Much of our suffering comes not from what happened, but from the meaning we assign to it.
- Seek healing without personal responsibility. Transformation begins when you shift from “Why is this happening to me?” to “How is this here to serve my growth?”
- Expect the ceremonies alone to create lasting change.
- Are not willing to prepare mentally, physically, and energetically, or to follow the guidelines required for this level of work.
- Struggle with communication, accountability, or honoring commitments within a group container.
- Are unable or unwilling to disconnect from daily distractions, sit in stillness, and turn inward.
Meet Your Guides....
Maestro Pedro
Has a deep relationship with many master plants of the Amazon with over 20 years of devoted work with the sacred plants and holding dietas.
Through years of discipline and direct communion, he has developed a refined sensitivity to the intelligence of the plants, allowing him to work with precision, integrity, and deep care in ceremony.
Rooted in reverence, he works with medicines sourced directly from his own botanical garden outside of Iquitos, ensuring purity and a true relationship with the traditions he carries.
Maestro Pedro’s work is quiet yet powerful, guided by humility, devotion, and a genuine love for supporting others on their healing path. His work is quiet yet powerful, and those who sit with him often feel the depth of his connection long before it is spoken.
